Before you arrive

The organiser will confirm the venue, session time and clothing advice. Most courses include equipment, but check before attending. Tie back long hair, remove loose jewellery and avoid clothing that can catch the bowstring.

The first arrows

After the safety briefing, a coach will help you establish stance, finger position, bow hand, anchor and a safe release. Targets are close and bows are light so attention stays on a confident routine.

After the course

Completing a course normally opens the route to club membership. Ask about practice sessions, equipment loans, Archery GB affiliation and ongoing coaching before deciding where to join.
